不倫

今天在一個 blog 裏看到一篇文章, 第一眼被一張澳門街道的照片吸引, 本來沒有興趣細看下去, 遍遍看到主角的名字是 Simon 就看下去了.. 故事講述一對發生了不倫之戀的男女, 訴說女人總是遇到有婦之夫的煩腦, 結局是她們憧景的, 男人選擇了不倫的一半.

可能有點切身的感受, 看完後有點複習的感覺.. 覺得生命有時簡單點不是更好嗎. 但無奈人生是注定不可能太簡單, 就像上天要在你身上留下一點點生命的痕蹟. 就像這篇文章裏所說:

"沒有人喜歡背叛另一個人，但是生命與感情是很難有邏輯的。"

Damn cough go away!

Its been almost 3 weeks and my cough is not going away... damn you stop bloody coughing!

Dressing the Man

"Why, after men today have spent more money on clothes than in any other period of history, are there fewer well-dressed men than at any time ever before?"

The beginning quotation of this book: Dressing The Man by Alan Flusser captured my instant attention in the book store, and I took it home with a slashing 9,000 yen. After seeing armies of suited men in Tokyo, most of them with unfit size of blazers or trousers, that I found agreement of the quote above.

An interesting book with lots of details of men's dressing. What to look for when trying on clothes in the fitting room, what kind of jacket to wear with a straight-point collar, the history of the monk-strap shoe, the correct position for a bow tie and what "business casual" really means.

In todays modern world, a T-shirt and jeans may be enough for most days, but dressing the traditional art of suits is a manner, and in my point of view, shows a man's taste as how he takes care of the details in life. I think men look their best in suits and there is a sense of empowerment and confident when men dress in a well tailored one.

the long awaited

Today I have read one of the most exciting news to me recently, and its the 1st release of the making of Diablo 3. A PC game which originates from more than 10 years ago and will surely rocks the world when it comes out.
Since the release of the 1st Diablo series more than 10 years ago, and it was a crazy time, for that all my childhood friends and I are fallen into the dark world of Diablo and slashing monsters since.. it were good memories and such an addictive one.
Now the 3rd is about to come out, althought it maybe a year or two before its release but it means a lot to me, as one grew up and becoming more mature, materialistic, and pessimistic, that one can hardly find anything so simple that makes you feel exciting. Surprisingly just the news of Diablo 3 does the trick for me...

Art & Design exhibition @ shimokitasawa

Sunday went to hv lunch with kuni then went to an art and design exhibition in shimokitasawa(下北澤) with maki and ikumi. Its in a small club and it was fun meeting lots of new talented japanese artist. Bought a t-shirt from Takumi who is now running his own shop mememachine in shibuya (www.mememachine.jp), the print is very special and it will belong to someone soon as I lost betting on Germany in the Euro final!

Also met tomo who's design strongly reminds of andy warhole and vivien westwood and stylish as she is, i think shes got great potential in future. (www.shojonotomo.com)
Not to mention asako's austrialian & south american style accessories, which my frds love very much..

It was an interesting day and look forward to visit takumi's shop this weekend.

New favourite on my ipod, a girl with japan, south america and caribbean origin also inherit their music talent from havana. With deep and stylish voices she captures the many souls in japan, immensely popular in kareoke and on tv.
Keep reminding me of someone when I listen to her songs...

busy busy busy...

Life is getting busy.. time seems to fly, i guess its a good thing.

next week Hong Kong, then Beijing, then Hokkaido.. and more expecting.
would be nice to have a private jet.

Chalie Wilson's War

Yesterday I went to see Charlie Wilson's War with lan, masa and natalia. The film is about one US congressman Charlie Wilson, how he uses his power, political and diplomatic skills to fight for military funding for Afghanistan refugees against the Russian Soviet union.

First of all I felt very sorry about Natalia because she is russian and the whole film has been nothing but stereo-typing, and evilizing the communism of the soviet union, instigating of the whole anti communism propaganda. In a not very nice way.

However the film has been smartly written, especially the witty script which I found very interesting and somehow deep meaning underneath, what I called the mens talking. It makes me realised how much I have to learn to become a true man, to bear not only ones but others responsibilities, to conquer your own fear, and at the same time bring humor to people around.

Charlie Wilson's War, a film for all those who enjoy witty conversation, bit of political history, and the fans of Tom Hanks.

a day in yokohama

Last week nicole and her friends invited me to go to this orchestra concert in Yokohama which are performed by the Philharmonia Taiwan and conducted by Johannes Wildner.

I greatly admired lead violinist Nai YuanHu's performance, his 10 minutes fast peaced non-stop violin performance has captured the souls of all audiences and it is like melody from heaven. The conductor Johannes is soooo cute, we gave him a nick name 'little fatty' and we watch his stomach jumps around while he dancing his way to conduct, and in one moment his face went so red i thought he is going to have a heart attack..

Anyway we have a great time enjoying the concert and Yokohama reminds me of river Thames in London..what a beautiful place.
